Next-Gen Apple MacBook Pro

Apple has many surprises in this year’s WWDC. The Cupertino company has just announce one of its latest hardware advancements: the next-generation MacBook Pro.

The new line of laptops packs a Retina display with an astonishing 2880 x 1800 resolution, 16GB of RAM, NVIDIA Kepler GT 650M graphics chip, up to a quad-core 2.7GHz Core i7 processor, a maximum of 768GB of SSD storage, and an estimated seven hours of battery life with 30-day standby, all of which are packed in a casing that is just 0.71-inch thin. The 4.46-pound computer also includes Ethernet and FireWire 800 ports, where you can plug the optional Thunderbolt adapter.

The MacBook Pro’s Retina display not only yields high resolution, but also higher contrast ratios, better viewing angles, and reduced glare. It also comes pre-installed with all of Apple’s stock apps, including Aperture and Final Cut Pro media editing apps.

Price starts at $2,199 for the 2.3GHz model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which is being shipped as we speak.
