Apple MacBook Air Gets Hardware Updates


Apple announced during its keynote in WWDC that even the MacBook Air will also undergo some hardware updates, under a year since its last renovation.

Not only it will be packed with Ivy Bridge processors like the MacBook Pro, but also a bunch of internal specs such as Core i7 processors clocking in up to 2GHz and Turbo Boost up to 3.2GHz. Meanwhile, the FaceTime camera is now amped up to 720p resolution.


The 11-inch model’s display stays put at 1,366 x 768 resolution, but with Intel HD graphics 4000, while the 13-inch model houses a 1,440 x 900 screen. Both laptops come with a pair of USB 3.0 ports, up to 8GB of RAM, and a maximum of 512GB of storage.

Prices start at $999 for the most basic model, up to $1,099 for the most premium version. The new and improved MacBook Air starts shipping today.
