Apple has just launched its upcoming iCloud
suite of products through its website iCloud.com. In a way, this
confirms that iCloud will have web-based apps. The website is seen as a
good component alongside iCloud itself, which will be released “this
fall.” The great thing is that anyone can log into the site, not just
web developers, to test out what iCloud brings to the table.
In addition, Apple has also posted information about the iCloud
pricing. The service provides 5GB of free storage, but users can buy
additional storage with costs ranging from $20 a year for 10 more GB to
$100 yearly for 50 added GB. It is interesting to note that the user’s
iCloud Photo Stream, iOS apps, music, and TV shows purchased from iTunes
and the App Store do not count against the 5GB free storage.
